{"id":433,"date":"2026-08-27T12:36:28","date_gmt":"2026-08-27T07:06:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/isigcse.acm.org\/compute\/2026\/?page_id=433"},"modified":"2026-08-27T12:52:36","modified_gmt":"2026-08-27T07:22:36","slug":"call-for-posters","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/isigcse.acm.org\/compute\/2026\/call-for-posters\/","title":{"rendered":"COMPUTE 2026 Call for Posters"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The COMPUTE 2026 Conference invites researchers, educators, practitioners, and students to present their <strong>emerging, ongoing, and recently completed work in computing education<\/strong> through the Poster Track.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Poster Track provides an opportunity to share ideas and work to receive feedback and engage in discussions with the COMPUTE community. The work may not be ready for a full research or experience report paper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Scope<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Posters may address any of the <a href=\"https:\/\/isigcse.acm.org\/compute\/2026\/compute-2026-call-for-papers\/\">themes of COMPUTE 2026<\/a>, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Theme 1: Computing Education\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Theme 2: Curricula Design<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Theme 3: Effective Assessment<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Theme 4: Teaching and Teachers<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please refer to the <a href=\"https:\/\/isigcse.acm.org\/compute\/2026\/compute-2026-call-for-papers\/\">COMPUTE 2026 Call for Papers<\/a> for the detailed conference themes and topics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We particularly encourage submissions from:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Researchers and educators who <strong>missed the regular paper submission deadline<\/strong> but would still like to present their work at COMPUTE 2026.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Researchers with <strong>work in progress or preliminary results<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Educators who have implemented an interesting teaching practice, intervention, curriculum, or tool and would like to share their experience.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Developers and practitioners presenting <strong>tools, prototypes, educational technologies, or innovative approaches<\/strong> relevant to computing education.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Authors whose <strong>COMPUTE 2026 paper submissions were not accepted<\/strong>, but who would like to present the work and discuss it with the community.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All the submissions should align to the theme of COMPUTE 2026.&nbsp; Poster submissions will be assessed for their relevance to COMPUTE 2026, clarity, potential for discussion, and suitability for poster presentation.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Submission and Publication Details<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Poster submissions are <strong>non-archival<\/strong>. Accepted posters will be presented at COMPUTE 2026 but will <strong>not be <\/strong>published in the ACM ICPS conference proceedings or the ACM Digital Library.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The purpose of the Poster Track is to facilitate discussion, exchange of ideas, feedback, and networking within the computing education community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Submission Format<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Poster submissions should consist of a <strong>maximum two-page extended abstract<\/strong>, including references.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Authors are encouraged to follow the ACM ICPS formatting guidelines given in the <a href=\"https:\/\/isigcse.acm.org\/compute\/2026\/compute-2026-call-for-papers\/\">call of paper page<\/a> with number of pages limiting to two.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The abstract should briefly describe:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Problem \/ Motivation:<\/strong> What problem, challenge, or opportunity does the work address?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Approach \/ Work:<\/strong> What has been done or what is being proposed?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Evidence \/ Results:<\/strong> What evidence, observations, preliminary findings, or outcomes are available, if any?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Contribution \/ Significance:<\/strong> What can the computing education community learn from this work?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Future plans<\/strong>: What are the plans to extend this work<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Authors are encouraged to include figures, diagrams, tables, or other visual material that can help communicate the work effectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Poster Presentation<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Accepted authors will be expected to register for ACM COMPUTE 2026 and prepare a physical poster (usually 3\u2019x4\u2019) for presentation at COMPUTE 2026.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Detailed poster guidelines will be shared in due course of time.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Important Dates<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Poster Submission Deadline:<\/strong> Sept 30, 2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Notification:<\/strong> Oct 15, 2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Poster Submission \/ Final Poster Due:<\/strong>&nbsp; Oct 31, 2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Conference:<\/strong> December 3\u20135, 2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Submission link and instructions:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Submit your posters using the following link.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/7GaNZYCUQHrPQgyC6\">https:\/\/forms.gle\/7GaNZYCUQHrPQgyC6<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Authors are encouraged to save the email receipt of the google form.
