The COMPUTE 2026 Conference invites researchers, educators, practitioners, and students to present their emerging, ongoing, and recently completed work in computing education through the Poster Track.
The Poster Track provides an opportunity to share ideas and work to receive feedback and engage in discussions with the COMPUTE community. The work may not be ready for a full research or experience report paper.
Scope
Posters may address any of the themes of COMPUTE 2026, including:
Theme 1: Computing Education
Theme 2: Curricula Design
Theme 3: Effective Assessment
Theme 4: Teaching and Teachers
Please refer to the COMPUTE 2026 Call for Papers for the detailed conference themes and topics.
We particularly encourage submissions from:
- Researchers and educators who missed the regular paper submission deadline but would still like to present their work at COMPUTE 2026.
- Researchers with work in progress or preliminary results.
- Educators who have implemented an interesting teaching practice, intervention, curriculum, or tool and would like to share their experience.
- Developers and practitioners presenting tools, prototypes, educational technologies, or innovative approaches relevant to computing education.
- Authors whose COMPUTE 2026 paper submissions were not accepted, but who would like to present the work and discuss it with the community.
All the submissions should align to the theme of COMPUTE 2026. Poster submissions will be assessed for their relevance to COMPUTE 2026, clarity, potential for discussion, and suitability for poster presentation.
Submission and Publication Details
Poster submissions are non-archival. Accepted posters will be presented at COMPUTE 2026 but will not be published in the ACM ICPS conference proceedings or the ACM Digital Library.
The purpose of the Poster Track is to facilitate discussion, exchange of ideas, feedback, and networking within the computing education community.
Submission Format
Poster submissions should consist of a maximum two-page extended abstract, including references.
Authors are encouraged to follow the ACM ICPS formatting guidelines given in the call of paper page with number of pages limiting to two.
The abstract should briefly describe:
- Problem / Motivation: What problem, challenge, or opportunity does the work address?
- Approach / Work: What has been done or what is being proposed?
- Evidence / Results: What evidence, observations, preliminary findings, or outcomes are available, if any?
- Contribution / Significance: What can the computing education community learn from this work?
- Future plans: What are the plans to extend this work
Authors are encouraged to include figures, diagrams, tables, or other visual material that can help communicate the work effectively.
Poster Presentation
Accepted authors will be expected to register for ACM COMPUTE 2026 and prepare a physical poster (usually 3’x4’) for presentation at COMPUTE 2026.
Detailed poster guidelines will be shared in due course of time.
