COMPUTE 2025 Conference
We are pleased to invite experts and thought leaders to submit panel proposals for COMPUTE 2025, a premier conference dedicated to advancements in computing education and its related disciplines. Our goal is to foster engaging and insightful discussions on cutting-edge topics that bridge industry and academia.Panel Session Formats
We welcome diverse and interactive panel formats, including but not limited to:- Formal Presentations: Structured talks followed by a moderated discussion.
- Informal Talks: Casual discussions with or without visual aids.
- Q&A Panels: Sessions dedicated to audience questions and expert answers.
- Debates: Presentations of opposing viewpoints on pertinent topics.
- Hybrid Formats: Innovative combinations of the above or other creative structures.
Requirements for Panelists and Moderators
- Conference Registration: All panelists and moderators are required to register for and attend the conference in person.
- Content Guidelines: Promotional or commercial content is prohibited unless explicitly approved by the conference organizers.
- Submission Details: Proposals must include detailed logistics, including speaker order and discussion flow. The organizing committee will determine the final schedule for each panel.
- Diversity and Inclusion: Proposals should strive for diversity in perspectives, including representation from various demographics, institutions, and geographic regions.
- Panel Composition: Panels should consist of 3-5 participants, including the moderator, to ensure a balanced and in-depth discussion.
Evaluation Criteria
Proposals will be assessed based on:- Originality and Innovation: Introduction of novel ideas or perspectives.
- Relevance to Industry: Involvement of industry professionals and applicability to real-world scenarios.
- Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Inclusion of multiple disciplines to enrich the discussion.
- Audience Engagement: Strategies for promoting interaction with attendees.
- Clarity and Quality: Well-defined objectives and coherent structure.
- Feasibility: Practicality of the proposed panel within the conference context.
Submission Guidelines
Please include the following in your proposal:- Title: Concise and descriptive.
- Technical Description (up to 350 words): Outline the panel’s theme, objectives, and significance.
- Panelists’ Information: For each participant, provide:
- Name
- Affiliation
- Contact Information
- Short Biography (150 words max)
- Moderator: Identify the individual responsible for facilitating the panel.
- Duration: Standard sessions are 75 minutes, followed by 15 minutes for Q&A.
- Additional Information: Any other details pertinent to the proposal.
